I was looking for a good quality drafting chair that not only would fit the height requirements for my table and desk but also looked good in a living environment and was comfortable. I think I got the right chair plus it also fit my budget. One thing I was worried about was that the pictures online looked as if the color of the chair is gray and not black. However I was pleased that it's all black with the exception of the mesh back (which is a blend of silver and black) and the base which is very chrome like. The shipping was very quick because I live in the same State as the warehouse butI would expect it to be fast in other places as well. Assembly was the only issue I had with this chair. The package did not come with instructions and the online instructions through the Alvin web site wasn't accurate for assembling the back of the chair. I thought I had the wrong part and called customer service who was very helpful in that they were going to order a new part for me. After looking at more pictures on line I realized what needed to be done and canceled the part order. Now that I have my chair I'm happy. It's never a good idea to sit too long in one spot but I can spend a couple hours in this chair. I have two tables that I work at one is 36" and the other is 27" the height of this chair adjusts perfectly between the two for my 5'11" frame. Other than a couple minor wiggles that is common to most office chairs this one is perfect for my needs.
