The chair was easy to assemble...I have art assignments to do all weekend so that will be a good test for the comfort level. The biggest issue is the footrest does not lock and I almost fell over when i tried to adjust the chair height. We called the chair manufacturer and they are sending a replacement part so well see.

I'm using this chair for my drafting table. It's great because of the high height adjustment. The directions were super clear and the only tool you need is an allen wrench which is included. The butt padding is ample right now, hopefully it doesn't bottom out. I'm 150 lbs so I think I'll be fine, but the butt padding might not be enough in the long run use for someone in the 200lb range. I love this chair!!

Typical Alvin excellent quality. This chair is first and foremost a drafting chair that can be raised to drafting table height and is comfortable as a task chair. It's incredibly rigid construction and has the ability for the seat and back to adjust to your preference. I love the old fashioned foot ring support too. After seeing all the chairs out there, I couldn't be more pleased with this one.

We were looking for a good raised chair for my wife's sewing room. I had built in 36 inch counter tops for her sewing machine. This chair gives her seating at her machines when she chooses not to stand. This was a better built alternative to the chairs offered at our local sewing center.
