Close the armoire, and it measures 19.5W x 16D x 52H inches, and shows three shelves (two adjustable) as well as a roomy storage drawer (16W x 13L inches). Unfold the work table, and the armoire measures 19.5W x 41D x 52H inches, and exposes a large adjustable storage shelf beneath, which is big enough to hold a sewing machine. The table is sturdy enough for almost any type of work, and creates the perfect space for projects, with all of your materials stored close at hand. Some assembly is required.

My little Singer Featherweight is perfectly housed within the Studio Designs Sonoma Craft Armoire. The Featherweight was just passed down to me. It is the sewing machine that sewed my first dress in Home Economics. During my days as a student it was necessary to clear the dining table before, during and after my sewing projects at home. Space could not be allocated for sewing alone. Now my little Singer is tucked away in it's own little cabinet that is so functional and attractive I have it here in my home office with me!         It appears that I was sent something that someone else returned. Parts were missing and damaged. I tried to assemble it, but some of the hardware was missing. It would never support the weight of a sewing machine.

        The box was damaged. There were scratches on the wood. The hardware package was taped up and parts were missing. Parts that were there were broken.

          I am terribly disappointed with this armoire!!! First of all, note that you CANNOT FIT A STANDARD SIZE SEWING MACHINE IN IT!!!!! The product description is incredibly deceiving. The actual width of the armoire is SEVENTEEN INCHES, not 19.5, that is only the top. And when you minus the width of the edges of the unit, you only have room for a 15" sewing machine at the very most, NO MORE! If you have anything besides a toy sewing machine, this is a waste! And that's only my biggest complaint. It arrived extremely damaged. The fake wood was chipped, scraped and heavily warped. It's assembly was extremely difficult. The instructions were poorly written, and it took over five hours to put together. The "wood" is a very cheap imitation, and the unit is wobbly once you put it together, and so light I can knock it over with a finger. The warping of the wood made it even more difficult to assemble, and we had two people doing it. I bought it knowing the table space wouldn't be that much, but I thought I could at least get my sewing machine in. I have a singer esteem II. I may return it, but I'm reluctant because my boyfriend and I have already wasted a collective 10 hours on its assembly.
